LAWRENCE McCall blasted five goals as Medbourne second string eased their way into the next round of the county cup.
The villagers took the lead when McCall finished off a superb move, before the visitors equalised following a defensive mix-up.
After going into the break at 1-1, Medbourne upped their game and McCall drilled in a low shot to grab his second goal of the game. He added to his account in style with three more well-taken strikes.
Russ Escritt and Ash Jones netted late goals to seal a superb triumph.
Harpole 4 Medbourne 0
Medbourne’s seniors suffered their worst league defeat of the season so far, against the unbeaten leaders.
They conceded two early goals and were on the back foot immediately.
Their best attempt at getting back into the match was a clever chip from Nick Chapman. It was heading for the top corner but was cleared off the line.
The home side went further ahead after the break from a free-kick just outside the area, and soon added a fourth goal.
Leather Craftsman 0 Enigma 3
Enigma travelled to one of their bogey teams of the past and overcame their jinx with a determined display.
The Harborough side dominated the early exchanges and went ahead when a slick attack involving six players was finished by the energtic Ash Robinson.
Adam Manton then scored with a cross-shot, which the keeper failed to deal with.
The second half was almost all one-way traffic from Enigma but it produced just one more goal, a brilliant long-range effort from Tom Hillier.
The visitors had Luke Slater to thank for their second clean sheet in a row, two superb saves.
Royalist 2 Fengate 5
Harborough-based Royalist crashed out of the county cup after putting in their worst display of the season.
Not even out of the traps in the first half, the home side struggled to create a single chance. Some hard work after the break was rewarded by goals from Andy Hiron and Ben Sharman.
Dan Aldwinckle rattled the bar and shots were fired in in attempts to salvage something from the game but the damage had already been done.
This Sunday Royalist visit White Hart (meet 9.30am).
