A NEW-LOOK Borough Alliance under-17s gave a strong performance in a 4-2 win over Burton Youth.
Fielding three new signings, Borough looked in control from the start and it was no suprise when they took the lead with a well-taken goal.

Burton did get back on level terms but two more Borough goals provided breathing space.

Burton again hit back with a stunning goal of their own and in the closing minutes had a chance to equalise from the penalty spot but man of the match Callum Dennett pulled off a fine save.

Borough sealed the victory with a breakaway fourth goal in the dying seconds.

Borough under-12s Condors gave a much improved performance despite being on the wrong end of a 6-2 scoreline.

For the first 20 minutes they matched opponents Volta but mistakes led to them falling two goals behind.

Spurred by man of the match Alex Ball in midfield, Condors replied when Ryan Saxon fired home from close range after good work from Matthew Bruce. And they got a deserved equaliser when again Saxon beat the approaching keeper with a neat shot.

But after the break Condors seemed to relax and they were punished by four Volta goals.

Borough under-13s Wolves took an early lead against Finedon Vics with a Matthew Lowe penalty but this was all they had to shout about as the Northants side went on to dominate – racking up six goals in the process.

The defending of man of the match Charlie Lockey caught the eye for Borough.
