Gill goes Fur to land title

ANTHONY Gill (8) notched 73 points to be the overall winner of Lutterworth GC's annual Fur and Feather competition.
Scott Milner (23 handicap), with 72 points, was second, with two tied on 71 – Karl Jones (16) third, on local rule from Anthony Wills (13), fourth.

Doug Kiddie (10) was fifth overall from Paul Whitehouse (11), sixth, after they both notched 70 poi
nts.

Pam Etchingham (17), with 66 points, was overall women’s winner, with Jean Neesham (21), 65 points, second.

Zack Murphy (14) was top junior with 59 points.

There were two separate weekly competitions towards the overall awards.

Chris Bowman (11) scored 39 points to win week one from James Pickard (5), 38 points, second, with David Stead (11), 37 points, third; Philip McGuiness (14), 36 points, fourth, and Helen Dowling (19), on 29 points, was the women’s week one winner.

Jane Inch and Rob Currie won nearest the pin prizes in week one at stake on the ninth hole.

Chris Dodd (18) with 37 points topped week two from three tied on 36 points - Steve Moonan (11) was runner-up on local rule from Graham Fish (16), third, and Andy Potts (scr), fourth, also resolved on local rule.

Christine Ratcliffe (23) with 32 points won the women’s award, with nearest the pin prizes going to Michael Pearce and Chris Noah – this time on the 15th hole.
