THE FIRST meeting of Harborough District Council's new executive saw portfolios allocated to its eight members.
Council leader Alistair Swatridge has taken responsibility for corporate services, including council IT systems, communications, media and training.

Deputy leader Cllr Michael Rook also has responsibility for environmental delivery, including grounds maintenance, waste strategy, play areas and car park standards. The remaining members of the executive have been given responsibility as follows: Cllr Grahame Spendlove-Mason – finance, Cllr Dr Paul Bremner – community cohesion and wellbeing, Cllr John Everett – development and future opportunities, Cllr Janette Ackerley – community engagement and customer services, Cllr Paul Dann – safer communities and enforcement, Cllr Mark Graves – asset management.
