A HOSPICE charity has accepted a cheque for £500 raised by a Lutterworth group at a Millionaires' Night held in the summer.
Christine Faulkner, matron of the Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice, or Loros, joined members of the Rotary Club of Lutterworth at the Greyhound Coaching Inn for lunch and the presentation.

In thanking the group, Mrs Faulkner told Rotary members that the hospice became active in 1985 and now has about 350 staff, caring for 750 patients a year. It costs about £6million a year to run the hospice, and most of this money comes from donations.

The £500 cash was raised at a Millionaires Night organised by the Rotary Club of Lutterworth in June.
